estimates horovor have been found incorrect owing
to tho inability of His Majesty's Government to
contributo more than 100,000 towards the cost
of the Acrodromo From the figures published in tho Appendicos it will be soon that as regards the Shing fun Schome the sum of $5,500,000 will
more than cover the cxpendituro cxclusive of the
cost of supplying the water to the Hong Kong sido
of the Harbour, but that a further sum of $676,124
will be requirod if the cross harbour pipo and
Garden Service Reservoir aro carried out.
The cost to the Colony of Harbour Dovclop-
mont is estimatod at $547,916 and of the Acrodromo
at $1,539,467 making an excess of $587,383 over
the amount provided by the Loan to be charged to
Surplus Balancos ponding tho floating of a further
loan. Had His Majesty's Govornmont paid throo
quartors of the cost of the Aorodromo as was hoped
this time last year this oxcess would not have
